Sylare Starks was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on October 2, 2000. The granddaughter of the late Pastor Ernest K. Starks, music quickly became a part of her ministry. From school talent shows to Sunday morning services, Sylare loved to sing and point others toward Jesus while doing so. Often considered a “bridge” between generations, Sylare merges her old church roots with a sound that also caters to a younger crowd.
As a former Division 1 basketball player, her journey in music took a small hiatus, but she never lost her faith in Jesus and passion for singing. Once she graduated, she hit the ground running and released her debut single, “The Lord Is Faithful”, written by her, based on Psalms 145:13-18. It is a reminder of God’s faithfulness and how he will never change. He’s the same yesterday, today and forevermore!
A year later, she released a second single entitled, also written by her, “World To Me”. This song gives listeners a pure, catchy worship feel, along with a nice groove.
With these two projects, Sylare is now an award winning and nominated artist.
